The method of removing moss from your tile roof will depend on a couple of factors such as the amount of moss on the tile roof, and the condition of the roof.
In cases of light moss or loose debris, all that’s needed is a powered blower to break up and remove the moss off of the roof. We generally recommend following this with a preventative treatment to stop future moss growth. If the moss is heavier, it might require an additional method – brushing.
Both powered blower and brushing methods remove moss, but will not necessarily clean the dirt and dinginess off of your tiles. If the roof is in good condition and the tiles are not brittle, we offer a pressure wash. As this is the most abrasive method of roof cleaning, we reserve this option only for the most extreme cases, or as required by HOA regulations or homeowner preference.
